Construction of a New Nuclear Spent Fuel Storage Facility at Limerick Generating Station
ABOUT
The project consisted of the construction of Limerick’s Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI), Heavy Haul Transport Facility Building (HHTF), Maintenance Muster Facility Building (MMF) and all associated security cameras, lighting, and monitoring equipment.
With all work performed in the protected area (PA), the overall scope was to demolish several existing structures including a hydrogen bulk storage facility, pour over 4,000 CY of concrete to construct the 260′ X 270′ ISFSI Pad, construct an 85′ X 100′ pre-engineered MMF building and a 50′ X 80′ preengineered HHTF building.
