Building Heavy Haul Path to Support Fast Track Change Out of Main Power Transformer

ABOUT

This project consisted of building an emergency heavy haul path to support the fast track change out of the main power transformer at Oyster Creek using a replacement transformer from an Eddystone Substation in PA. Construction included a temporary barge unloading facility, 1500 LF of temporary roadway, steel plating of all in-plant roads at both facilities, and restoration of all areas. This work was performed at two separate sites, in parallel, to support transport of transformers between the facilities.
