Three Mile Island Nuclear Generating Station Steam Generator Storage Facility
Hancocks Bridge, New Jersey

Construction of a 1,500 CY Cast-in-Place Concrete Structure

ABOUT

The Original Steam Generator Storage Facility was built as part of the Three Mile Island Unit 1 Steam Generator Replacement Project. The OSGSF provides long term storage of the two original steam generators and portions of the Reactor Cooling System hot leg piping. The 5,400 square feet enclosure is 30 feet in height and designed to minimize any chance of radiation exposure at its perimeter. JINGOLI used approximately 1,500 CY of concrete to construct the cast in place concrete structure.
